Back Into Focus

We had a little going away concert/party Sunday night. Friends, family, and fans gathered to share delicious vegetarian entrees, sit on the deck in the sunshine, and listen so graciously while I played them new songs and old favorites. A beautiful end to a beautiful summer. 

I’m driving across the country in less than two weeks. There is so much to prepare in these last days, and I sometimes forget that what is coming will be such an incredibly fun adventure. I get mired down in packing lists, logistical worries.

Sunday night brought it all back into focus. It’s just about these simple songs and the simple act of sharing them with others. No more and no less. This thought remains front and center from here on out.
